Removal of walkway panels

Through the process of planning, innovation and design, LCR and our client were able to identify the correct methods and engineering controls to safely mitigate the risks associated with the unstable walkway panels and working over water.
As a result, a suitable frame was designed and constructed. This would allow workers to have support under the panels, whilst giving access to the lower areas to remove unwanted debris and pipework before lifting. LCR utilised a SCX–1500 crawler crane to provide ample capacity and the ability to track alongside the drydock.
Using experienced safety/supervision personnel, crane technology, qualified Draftsman and the selection of our skilled workforce, LCR Group was able to deliver a safe and efficient outcome to our client.
